The 1st Annual Gott to Lax Tournament presented by Penguin Lacrosse is scheduled for July 13-14, 2013 at Hill-Murray School in Maplewood, Minn.
This not-for-profit tournament honors Adam Gott -- a former youth; high school (Hill-Murray School, Class of 2011); and collegiate (St. John’s University, Class of 2015) club lacrosse player -- from Stillwater, Minn. Adam passed away unexpectedly in a dirt bike accident on June 30, 2012. The Gott to Lax Tournament celebrates Adam’s life and his unyielding passion for lacrosse.
The Tournament includes 10 area boys’ high school teams with a single game event for eight area U13 boys’ teams. A Vendor Village, food trucks, Silent Auction and fastest shot contest will be located on-site for all to enjoy.
Proceeds from this two-day event benefit the “Adam Gott Collegiate Club Lacrosse Player Fee Scholarship.” Scholarship applications are available at the Tournament and on the Penguin Lacrosse website (www.penguinlacrosse.com) beginning in July for Minnesota high school graduates playing college club lacrosse.
The Tournament is open to the public -- games begin on July 13th at 9 a.m. All are encouraged to come out and watch the fastest game on two feet while celebrating the honor, brotherhood and spirit of the lacrosse community.
Penguin Lacrosse, LLC supports summer lacrosse opportunities for high school boys and girls, as well as women’s and men’s teams.
