The SJU Lacrosse team will start the fall off with a tough double header. SJU will host both the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs and North Dakota State University Bison on Saturday, October 8th, 2016. “We are really excited about having two great programs on campus,” said Head Coach Derek Daehn, “and it will give us a great opportunity to see where we are at as a team and the areas we need to improve before the spring season.”
The action will start at 9am on Saturday and run throughout the day with the last game starting at 5pm. All games will take place on Clemens Field with games starting every two hours. “Both Coach Litman and Coach Bosh have great programs, this will be a good measuring stick to see how our team will play against some of the best teams in the country before the season even starts,” said Daehn.

St. John's fall practices started on September 13th, and a very deep freshman class has already started making waves and will be pushing the returning players for time on the field for the first whistle.
"Our recruiting staff and our players have done a great job over the past few years of getting guys interested in SJU and our lacrosse team, and it is definitely paying starting to pay off with the number and quality of our recruits. This year's class might be one of the best in our program's history! " says Daehn. "It will be a lot of fun to see how things shake out and how the new guys gel with their new teammates."
There will be on-site food on this great day of lacrosse, so all parents, alumni, and fans should plan to come to Collegeville to watch some competitive lacrosse and check out what's new on campus, including the construction on the new Learning Commons and Gagliardi Field turf and seasonal dome.
