Schedules are never written in stone -- especially when they’re club lacrosse schedules.
All four St. John’s games for the April 8-10 weekend have changed location, start time or both.
Be sure to note the changes as each of the Johnnies’ four opponents are currently ranked in the Prodigy MCLA Division II Coach's Top 25 Poll -- and St. John’s is currently ranked third in the nation.
A weekend of great lacrosse games kicks off at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 15, when the #3 Johnnies host #5 Davenport University at McMurray Fields in St. Paul, Minn.
Due to a Homegrown Lacrosse all-day high school event taking place at McMurray Fields on Saturday, the two St. John’s games scheduled for that day will now take place at Roseville Area High School.
Saturday, April 9, will feature exciting games against two Missouri teams -- #15 Missouri State University and #21 Missouri Baptist University -- at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
The crazy weekend caps off on Sunday, April 10, at 11 a.m. when the Johnnies battle #18 Northern Colorado University, also at Roseville Area High School.
These changes came a week after poor field conditions led to St. John’s moving its only home games down to the cities. The games were successful as the Johnnies outscored their two opponents 47-2.
Once again, SJU Lacrosse would like to thank everyone for their flexibility, understanding and support. Please come out to support the Johnnies this weekend and wear some Johnnie Red.
